Supplier vetting
A supplier, or an agent acting under the supplier's mandate, is verified once and re-checked whenever something changes: company identity, beneficial owners, sanctions and debarment, financial standing, certifications and control of its web domains. Every check shows its source, when it was observed and its evidence; the result is a confidence report with an error bound, not a bare pass mark. The supplier owns the record, chooses which buyers see it, can see every finding about itself and can challenge any finding to a named person who must give reasons.
